The War Begins (Naruto d20)

Okay, so I'm backtracking the story a bit. Last time we left off was in the middle of a battle, but I figure we should go back a bit cause that was a hastily made game and this'll help with the story.

We're going to go ahead and start back after the Chunin exams, right as the Third Shinobi World War is beginning. The Leaf village is currently allied against the Stone. The war begins to come together, and your group is one of the many being sent to Village Hidden in the Grass to clash with the Stone Ninja at the beginning of the war. Knowing your groups skill and tenacity, the third hokage pairs you up with a new Jounin who will lead your team into the war zone.

Everybody first post up your characters and then we'll start the story.

It'll begin in a war room with the Third Hokage, the Sand Village Represenative, and a mysterious man wearing an Anbu mask. Your team enters in, also meeting Nikita there, who is with the Sand representative.

Kai stands patiently waiting to here the orders for the misson. Yet he is also eager to meet the jounin that will lead him and his squad mates but he is also filled with fear of dragging the team down due his being the genin in the squad.

Hannya stands with his back to the wall, his large frame pressed there while he looks around impatiently at everyone, particularly this weird looking guy they have with them with the worried look on his face, though trying to appear confident and prepared for Hiruzen, adjusting his red headband properly. Though Hannya feels slightly uneasy at the idea of fighting people from his town of birth, it doesn't hinder him as much as the waiting. "Hey come on! We're talking and talking! When are you gonna send us out old man? Youji and I are way ready. Who's this new guy too hmm'?" Hannya says leaning in to the new fellow.

Nikita looks over at the new guy after hannya asks him who he is. She says to him "why have you come to join us?"

Well says Kai (aka the new guy) "My sensei thought I was quite advanced for my age and said I could be helpful to all of you."

Hannya gives the new guy a bright grin and furrows his brows while holding out his fist' in welcome. "HA-HA! You've come to the right place for help!" Hannya slings his arm around the new guy's shoulders and looks to Youji & Nikita. "This one's got the same kind of spirit! And trust me we're gonna need... Err... What is it you do again'?" Hannya said now realizing he had no idea what this person he suddenly put such a spur of trust in could even do. He could be good at slitting people's throats in their sleep for all he knew.

Nikita smiles a little and says " i hope he wont hold us back. Welcome abroad new guy"

"I am glad you are welcoming me with open arms, and I will try my best not hinder everyone's progress."

"Don't worry about getting too friendly with Nikita. She doesn't let friends last too long around here..." Hannya said with a grin to the fellow remembering Hideki's 'explosive' ending in the Chuunin exams.
Hannya looked over to Youji & Nikita and cracked his knuckles', ready for whatever the battle ahead had to bring, feeling a bit anxious to test out his Taijutsu.
"Where are you sending us out, Hokage'?" Hannya says with a smile, different from his usual "Old Man." comment.
Eyeing the Anbu members a bit suspiciously for a second.

Even though this man was quite strange Kai knew that he was probably going to be good friends with this man.

"HANNYA IMAGAWA IS READY TO PROVE HIS WORTH!~"
He stands bright with a gleam', arm output towards the others, letting the silence deafen the room.

Nikita turns to hannya pats her puppet and says with a grin " wanna play" then turns to the Hokage and waits for his orders

Kai sees the lady the pat her puppet and it makes him cringe with an overwhelming creepiness.

The Hokage looks at all of the members seeing their interactions smiles.

"It's good to see you all interacting so well together. That will make this mission a lot easier for you. We have Kai Nara hear to lead the team through out the mission. His clans remarkable intelligence will serve you well" the Hokage explains, inhaling from his pipe.

"Your first mission is to infiltrate and decommission a supply post that the Hidden Stone has set up in the Hidden Grass. Afterwards, you will meet up with Team 1, Hideki, Hiei, and Inoichi who will lead you to meeting being held between Mist and Stone, and make sure both parties do not leave with important information. There are more details on these scrolls."

The ANBU masked men sets down several scrolls with red bands around them.

Shinsui looks over at nice, smiles and reaches out her hand for a handshake.

"It's good to meet another member of a Leaf clan" she says happily, "it's also good to see you again Nikita."

"Good to see you too shinsui" thens turns back to the hokage and asks when should we start master?"

Kai reaches out to give to Shinsui a handshake but all the while Kai feels the pressure put on him now that he knows he is the team leader.

Hannya smiles bright and grips the back of his hilt and adjusts his headband, taking one of the scrolls and giving a quick nod to Hiruzen and the rest of his team, unsheathing his Double Katana and pointing toward the door, giving it a quick twirl.
"Now then! Are we ready to get this started'?" Hannya shouted out'. "And don't worry! After this, this place is gonna have to make me a Jonin'." Hannya says his own name with a Jonin title under his breath and starts to talk out the door. Giving Kai a light punch on the shoulder and yelling out to Youji.
"Come on team leader. Let's see what you can do on the field. And Youji! SHOW ME THAT SENJUTSU!" Hannya says jealously.

Kai takes one of the scrolls and follows Hannya out the door and Kai says as he is leaving "Wow this guy sure is full of himself isn't he."

"You will leave as soon as possible, make us proud!" the Hokage proudly says.

Youji smiles and laughs "Don't worry Hanya, I'll definitely be showing off my Sage mode, no doubt" he exclaims and winks at Hanya.

He then runs ahead of Hanya. "Come on everybody, I'll race you to the front gate" he shouts and begins sprinting.

Hannya keeps on going, not stopping to show the pride damage. "YOU'LL SEE WHY SOON ENOUGH NARA WEIRDO!"
"Wha-- Hey wait! Don't you even-- YOUJI!"
Hannya races after Youji with his forehead nigh pressed to him. Seeing if anyone else joins in. Not listening to the Hokage, hoping that Kai knows the point we're supposed to be headed.

Kai feels up for a little competition and he decides to join in this race.

"NOT BY THE NEW GUY--!" Hannya's face burns red as he pushes to run faster, hoping to catch up, urging to show his speed by the guys.
"Youji you better not pick up dust just to win thiiiis!" Hannya yells as they head off towards the point.

Kai looks back smirking at Hannya trying to keep up.
