The Special Mission - The Bloody Mist (Kenny and Darrell only)

(How often do you activate your Byakugan? Sorry, realized I needed to ask. Within a one hour period.)

(Once, or maybe twice if I catch something out of the ordinary.)

During the first hour it is rather quiet. However, as the second hour rolls around, Inoichi perks up, and Hedeki picks up a group of humans with his Byakugan. It's a group of four men, several of which appear armed. They seem to walking the nearby path, something unusual for ninja to do.

They're probably bait. Hedeki thinks, slowly climbing down to Inoichi..

Inoichi gazes deeply toward the group of men, who are steadily getting closer.

"I recognize the diplomat..tell me if his chakra seems unusual, in case he's a clone" Inoichi whispers to you. He then makes a signal for Hiei to halt his patrol for now.

Hedeki activates his Byakugan once more, studying for imperfections in the chakra.

Hedeki sees that the chakra flowing through all four systems are genuine. It would appear that they are all real.

"Sir, his chakra paths appear legitimate. I believe this is the target." Hedeki deactivates his byakugan after peering through the tree's for other agents using Telesopic eyes.

Hiei joins the others.

Using your telescopic eyes, you don't seem to be anymore. A few more minutes pass and the group is walking right past you. There are all four with them. You see the diplomat and in back you see the man with the braided beard. He had on his back a strange looking sheath that appears to be holding a double katana.

"I can't believe this, we've been walking for hours!" Shouts the diplomat.

"We'll walk as far as we can tonight before we even consider stopping" speaks one of the guards.

"We'll go as far as a few more feet. Then, I'm taking out my sleeping bag and sleeping!"

You see the man in back mumble something and the diplomat looks scared, and turns and yells;

"you keep your trap shut Jinpachi or I swear, the Mizukage will have your head!"

Hedeki takes note of the name. It's safe to assume that the diplomat is minimizing the enemy unit's ability to function. He waits patiently where he stands. There aren't anymore guards. Yet no seasoned escort would take such an obvious route. Genjutsu? Hedeki waits for Inoichi's lead until he can ascertain the enemy strategy.

You don't believe you are in a genjutsu. Everything feels normal. The group proceeds along for another two hundred feet before they turn off into the wooded area.

"Use your Byakugan to keep track of them. The diplomat had been complaining about movement, so more than likely they are making camp." Inoichi says under his breath.

Hedeki activates his ocular power once more, and was getting a little aggravated. It was like being asked to turn a light on and off over and over again. He carefully follows their movements.

As you activate your Byakugan, the men seem to be trying to cover their tracks as they find a spot to hold out for the night. They settle a small patch of trees with enough room for one person to sleep comfortably. You see that as soon as they stop, the diplomat plops down his sleeping bag and begins to sleep.

What a waste of flesh... Hedeki was beginning to wonder about the direction of the mission. He wasn't made waiting. Quietly he whispers, "Sir do we set up camp now?"

"We'll move in a little bit closer, and then I'll stay for first watch while you and Hiei sleep. You'll get second."

He sighs a bit and looks through his pack.

"I was sizing them up, and the one they called Jinpachi is definitely the strongest of them all. We can probably take the other two guards, and the diplomat is no worry. But the man with the sword may become an issue if we end engaging them."

Hedeki pleasurably takes his nap laying against a tree. He aimed to get as much rest as possible to avoid having to use his ration pills.

Hiei scales a near by tree to make nest in.

(Sounds fine by me. We've all but lost Kenny several hours ago. -_-)

(Yeah i noticed. Scurrying up a tree like a fucking bird.)

Hedeki is awoken by a shaking as Inoichi tries to get him to rise.

"Your shift is up Hedeki" Inoichi says.

It has been five hours. You did not regain any chakra, but you did stave off fatigue for now.

"Thats all huh?" Hedeki gives a sluggish stretch and takes Inoichi's place. He activates a burst of his Byakugan to get a foothold understanding of the surroundings.

Through the burst you sport the four targets still in their same camping spot. You notice that three are asleep, and only one is still awake. It's the one with the bandaged head and beard, his back to a tree. He seems to be observing his surroundings, but is otherwise still.

What are you insomniac? Hedeki looks about as well as keeping an eye on the quarry. He didn't know whether or not the target sent shadow clones or the likes to search the area.

The next two hours pass the same before the awake man begins waking up his comrades. After each make a look of their surroundings, they wake up the diplomat, who's angry shouts can be heard through the woods entirely. One man clasps his hands over the diplomat's mouth before they begin returning to the main road. It is all very quiet, the three men seem very on edge.

You know you die soon don't you? You can feel it. Hedeki gave a grim smirk. Hedeki gently wakes Inoichi. "Sorry to wake you so soon sir, they are on the move." Hedeki Climbs the tree and rises Hiei as well.(Just noticed the amount of H's in our group. :I )
